London Fashion Week – MariaFrancescaPepe S/S ’10

One of my favourite exhibits at Fashion Week was MariaFrancescaPepe. Set in a white room, it was quite minimalist with one side for clothes and the other for jewellery/accessories. Maria herself designs every item and although the pieces are made in Florence, Italy, MCP is actually a UK-based fashion jewellery and womenswear label.

During the last London Fashion Week MFP did the jewellery for Emilio de la Morena and Roksanda Ilincic – pics of that can be seen here.

I was mostly drawn to the jewellery section so here are some photos of what was on display.

The rings are quite outlandish – can’t imagine wearing them comfortably but I thought the cuffs were very cool. Something I’d definitely use! The necklace reminds me of a section of a palm leaf, which along with the fanned shape seems to be the theme for the pieces here.

A bit of a worm thing going on here.. wasn’t too keen on it at first but now looking again I could see myself wearing that silver one!

Awesome leather hat thing with silver ear flaps. Though I probably can’t pull it off I WANT IT! Well I want to at least try it on 😉

Aaaahh I LOVE the use of coloured metals in this collection.
And these pendants! Everything looks so sharp and structured and COOL!
Favourite is the diamond shaped frame.

For those not so into huge statement necklaces there are these diamond cut plates – what do you think of the emerald one?! And the black/white..and the gold with glitter..
They’re nothing too crazy or creative but they’re simple and pretty stylish!
I imagine wearing these with a nice fitted blazer..

Silver chain body harness
Not one of the best I’ve seen but I like the rings at the chain junctions

A lot of the photos taken during LFW were with the amazing help of my friend Rose
She worked really hard so a big thank you to her!
You’ll see more in the coming days
