  • ✈️ Tips for seeing Mt Fuji from your plane window if you’re flying to/from Tokyo: 🪟 Get a window seat - make sure it’s not directly over the wing. ↔️ Don’t blindly follow the “west = right / east = left” advice! You’ll find loads of conflicting information online, because the side Fuji appears on depends on the actual flight path. 🗺️ MOST IMPORTANT: Check your specific flight path before choosing your seat. Compare your route using platforms such as Flightradar24, FlightAware, and FlightRadar.live. >> You can look up the same flight on previous days to see which route it typically takes. JAL’s Mt Fuji route guide can also be helpful. Keep in mind that the exact route may change depending on weather, air traffic, runway use, and other conditions. ❄️ Winter is a great time to try cos Fuji is usually snow-capped and the air tends to be clearer. 📍 Haneda is your best bet if seeing Fuji - there are several flight paths that pass relatively close to the mountain. Narita is farther away. I flew Haneda → Kuala Lumpur and happened to have a left-side window seat when this appeared underneath us. 🥹 This was filmed in March.
